Del denaro, ovvero di un supplemento di presenza

Abstract

Is money a veil smoothening the exchange of values though covering them up? Does value exist as a present substance? Following the tenets of deconstruction, we argue that just as writing is not the superfluous supplement of ideas but their condition of possibility, so is money to value. Through an analysis of the relation between subject, money, and value, we gain the possibility to question the white mythology of mainstream economics with regard to gnoseology and ontology of value. In a coda, we flesh out the reasons why it might not be amiss to speak of mainstream economics as metaphysical.
